CASE STUDIES
A perfect Northamptonshire home grown partnership ..
"United In Spirit"
Warner Edwards is a growing and successful craft gin company that started its roots on a farm in Harrington village, Northants
As the company started to expand and grow Tom Warner approached Sure-Can to rent out our old factory units that we had recently vacated, after our move in 2015 to a larger factory facility.
On meeting Tom and being suitably impressed with his company, enthusiasm and products we found out he was targeting the high end of the market and had already secured the likes of Fortnum and Mason, John Lewis group and Waitrose, to stock his high quality Gin.
As part of the drive to sell a high quality product Tom required a high quality package and had already commissioned a Chinese can maker to produce a 20cl size slip lid tin.
After inspection of the tins he was buying we pitched to Tom that we could produce a better quality version right here in Northants and develop a larger version for the 70cl bottle, which would then potentially expand his range of high quality gift tins.
Tom agreed that this new home grown partnership would be good for both companies and allow increased flexibility in stock and production control at Warner Edwards.
It would also be a great story for us to have taken away the production from China and increased UK can manufacturing.
So the development of the 20cl bottle printed tin started and a sample size 70cl tin was produced by our engineers in plain silver tinplate.
